What is SmartTrack?
SmartTrack is a mobile-first school bus tracking and student safety platform. It connects live bus locations, NFC or manual attendance, parent notifications, trip management and safety QR checks for schools and transport teams.
Do we need dedicated GPS hardware?
The mobile setup uses compatible smartphones, GPS and internet. Dedicated tracking hardware is not required for this setup. Confirm phone compatibility and connectivity with the team.
How is attendance recorded?
Assistants can mark attendance manually or use NFC card tapping on a compatible phone. Parents receive attendance updates through the configured workflow.
What does the Safety QR do?
A QR code at the rear of the bus gives the assistant a physical checkpoint during pre-trip and post-trip inspections. A careful inspection of all seats remains essential.
Can parents choose alert locations?
Yes. Parents can set custom alert points and receive in-app calls when the bus reaches a selected location.
Can we manage multiple schools?
The control center supports a shared view across schools, operators, routes and buses. Discuss your monitoring and incident-management requirements during implementation.
Can we use our own hosting environment?
Local hosting can be discussed with your team. Access roles, backups, security, support and integrations should be agreed for your deployment.
